In the last few months I’ve photographed a bunch of Lamborghini’s and Bentley’s. (18 Bentley’s and 5 Lamborghini’s to be exact). I was asked by Belntley and Lamborghini Belgium to capture their stock, demo or previously owned cars in great detail in order to help sell them.
Needless to say, as a petrolhead, it’s just great to be able to work with these cars and we have a lot of fun doing so. Although often by the sheer volume it’s often a massive amount of work and because it’s all shot at the importer in a make-shift studio it’s quite challenging. Although I’ve mostly shooting general catalog shot’s I love adding some detail shot’s of some of these great cars.
To light the cars, and especially the Bentley 4-door Flying spurs, we needed a lot of light so we used 5 Profoto heads blasting out a total of up to 3400 Ws in one go. And it looked like this.
During the shoot the camera was always on a tripod. So in between sets it’s just hard not to take some silly in-car selfies.
