Karel:: Headshots

As some of you know I photograph a lot more women then men, mostly. They just look better …
But as I said before. I think my portfolio needed some more men so I did a big Fashion shoot wil model Karel.

We shot a bunch of images on location and after that we went into the studio and shot some very cool headshots. Instead of doing regular headshots my girlfriend Aaike, who is a pro Make-up artist decided to take it a little further on the make-up side and go for a kind of Twilight feeling in the shots.

Here’s what they looked like.

[Tech::] The images above are all shot on the Canon Eos 5D with the EF 85 1.2L at f2 and f1.2. They’re all lit with a Profoto Acute B2 with a Beauty dish. The ISO 50 option of the 5D and the lowest power you can dial in on the Profoto Pack enables me to shoot wide open at insane apertures like 1.2.

As a last shot we wanted to go for a rock ‘n roll hair fashion shot. We brough out some aviator sunglasses (the were nearly mirrors and if you’re wondering, a bitch retouch every reflection out of them)
