I must admit. I rarely attend workshops. Not that I think I’m too good or something. I’m just never sure I won’t be wasting a buch of money on stuff that ends up being not so new or just irrelevant to my kind of work.
But when I heard that Scott Kelby’s Light it, Shoot it, Retouch it tour landed in Amsterdam last friday, I knew I had to go. I’ve been a member of Scott’s Online learning platform Kelbytraining.com for some time now and it’s responsible for most of my theoretical knowledge of lighting (with many kudos’ towards mister Joe McNally) and it’s just fun if you can met someone who been teaching you stuff online for over two years.
Just like in his online training Scott went over a complete workflow, No, four complete workflows. From adding the first light to the final photoshop edit. Most of the stuff wasn’t new but there where these small things that he told, that were some real eyeopeners.
And on top of that is was just a fun day with a bunch of friends.
Here are some pictures from that day starting of with the mandatory portrait with the maestro himself.
And the winner of a ticket to photoshop world in Vegas!! Our very own Tim Van Dyck !
