Let’s start of this week with something good. Profoto just released it’s new toy! The Profoto B2 250 Air TTL. Call it the B1 500’s little brother. I’ve know about this for a while but it came with a massive NDA so I had to shut up about it until now
A tiny but full TTL package that pumps out 250 Ws and can power two heads. This little guy does everything a B1 does. So high speed sync, AirTTL control everything but with 250 ws.
So it’s a bit less powerful then the B1 bit it makes it up in spades in size. The entire two head kit just about fills up a medium size camera bag. And those who doubt 250 ws it’s not that big of a difference in power then 500ws (ws and light output are two completely different things)
With the new B2 Profoto also launches the compact OCF line of light modifiers that includes a bunch of small softboxes to use on the go. You can even use the B2 on a camera bracket for some on camera flash stuff how cool is that!
But here’s the really good part. I already got a testkit last thursday so last week I went out and made some quick snaps of the Porsche Cayenne S I was driving for a few days.
