walllights

I usually make a point of not using a location too many times. But for some loations I will make an exception. Like this one. Here in Antwerp just a couple 100 meters from where I live there is a parking garage with black walls with yellow fluorescent lights. These are absolutely terrible as a main light but they make great backlights.

For my shoot with model Stefanie, I decided to go there. It had snowed and it was really cold. So shooting inside was a better option.

For this shoot I got the chance to play with Canon’s new EOS 60D and the not so new 24mm 1.4 L II lens. A great camera and lens. But more about that later.

I started of making some more classical fashion portraits using mostly my softbox which gave a nice definition to her clothes, face and hair.

When I packed up all my decided to try some more available light shots.

Nice shots again, Frederik. I’m curious about your experiences of the 24mm f1.4II lens. Also good to see that you’ve been blogging so frequently! Like that!
